What We Do

Growing Pristine Kelp
Fed by the pure currents of the Shelikof Strait, surrounded by the undeveloped 1.9 million acres of the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, our kelp grows free of biofouling, pristine and robust.
We welcome inquiries about our harvest.

Data Collection & Research
Partnering with scientists and research agencies to increase knowledge of all the ecosystem services provided by a kelp farm, we collect data and monitor our local environment.
Check with us on our availability to help with your project.

Knowledge Sharing
How does a two person team with small skiffs make this work? Lots of ingenuity and a small amount of welding. We've learned so much from others and are now eager to offer our solutions and exchange ideas.
Don’t hesitate to reach out.

ABOUT US
We are Tollef & Adelia, owners and operators of Alaskan Sea Greens
As remote Alaskan homesteaders and lifelong commercial fishermen, we began growing kelp in 2020 as a compliment to our ocean-centered way of life. Our kelp farm gives back to the ecosystem that so wholly sustains us while also nourishing the world. Watch our 2-minute kelp farming video and learn more about our kelp farming and remote lifestyle through the blog on our sister website.
